First image of Hyundai i-oniq concept leaks out

Hyundai has managed to keep its i-oniq concept coupe under wraps since it teased us almost three months ago, but the internet couldn't wait for the concept's Geneva Motor Show debut. The crew from the Korean Car Blog snagged this first official image of the i-oniq, the next interpretation of Hyundai's "fluidic sculpture" design language. And it's certainly a looker, in a oddly French kinda way.

Live from Microsoft's Windows 8 press conference at MWC!

. Mobile World Congress has been a roller coaster ride so far this year. The week kicked off with a bang on Sunday with both Sony and HTC unveiling their latest and greatest smartphones, and the HTC One X was definitely the star of the show. Things were up and down on Monday and Tuesday however, and the show actually got pretty slow for a while there.

The SCRW Stool

The SCRW Stool

Even with some stools today that are designed with technology usually reserved for rocket science, some people still seem to not be contented with them. For one, it still seems quite a problem to try and adjust one to just the right height. The SCRW Stool aims to change all that and remains stylish along the way. The SCRW Stool is a unique and stylish stool that may look more of an art piece rather than a sitting implement. But that is exactly what it was meant to be, something quite appealing to look at. But it also has a function that people will find quite useful.

Google aids accessibility with ChromeVox reader, better YouTube captions and more

Engineers from Google have commandeered a booth at this year's CSUN accessibility conference and they're keen to talk up their latest efforts. For the visually impaired, there's now a beta version of a Chrome screen reader called ChromeVox (demo'd after the break), plus improved shortcuts and screen reader support in Google Docs, Sites and Calendar. Meanwhile, YouTube boasts expanded caption support for the hard of hearing, with automatic captions enabled for 135 million video clips - a healthy tripling of last year's total.

Foursquare PS Vita app hits US PlayStation Store, gives you another reason to consider 3G

Good news for all you socially connected (and hip) regulars of local retail establishments - who have PS Vitas, of course. Sony's just announced that the free Foursquare app has officially landed at the PlayStation Store (US), and it can be yours for a paltry 4.5MBs of space on your precious proprietary memory card. The app works over WiFi, however, the fine print advises that users may want to use 3G for the best results to help alongside the Vita's GPS. Notably, the rear touchpad and cameras are listed as being compatible with the app, as well.

And here we are, just seven short months later, and there's an official press release for that. The Sony Tablet P has two 5.5-inch touchscreens, and has a folding design that's unlike any other tablet out there.

In San Francisco, as is usually the case with Apple events. And at 10 AM PST, Apple's favorite time of the day.
Of course this doesn't unfortunately tell us anything official about specs or even what the new tablet will be called.

If you thought the Ace 2's compact design was charming, expect to be bowled over by the similarly-outfitted Mini 2. Stepping even further down the Galaxy food chain, this lilliputian Android handset retains the overall sensibilities of its slightly larger stablemate, but also tones down those already mid-range specs, accordingly. We were able to get some hands-on time with the 3.27-inch handset, so hop on past the break to see how it fared. At first glance, the Mini 2 is an endearing handset, bordered by a silver trim and encased with a sunny, yellow plastic casing.

HTC updates Beats Audio, makes it work with any third-party app

Let's just say we were underwhelmed by the first iteration of HTC Beats on the Sensation XE. But now it looks like the technology has been revamped for the latest One handsets, so - once we've tasted the pudding - we might just have to revise that opinion. The new Beats is claimed to make music sound more "authentic," and whereas the previous version could only be activated inside HTC's stock music player, this time it'll work with YouTube, Pandora, Spotify and any other third-party Android app. What exactly will it do with those apps.

Panasonic Eluga hands-on

Well, Panasonic wasn't lying. Turns out, the company's Eluga smartphone is, as promised, quite elegantly designed. The stunning handset, which made its debut at this year's Mobile World Congress, isn't racing towards the finish line with Google's latest OS or even top shelf internals. Rather, this Android device places a heavy emphasis on style, durability and display tech much to the delight of our overloaded mobile-senses. We spent some quality time with device at the company's booth, so click on past the break to get the rundown on our initial impressions. There's no denying it: the Eluga is built to impress.

Orange Santa Clara packs Intel power, we go hands-on at MWC 2012 (video)

Hot on the heels of Intel's big event, we've finally got our hands on Orange's Medfield smartphone. The Santa Clara is powered by the Intel Atom Z2460 1.6GHz processor, clocked at 1.6GHz. It does have 2011's Gingerbread kind of Android, but Orange is promising to bring ICS to the phone soon after launch - in fact an Intel spokesperson told us that it's already had Android 4.0 running on these devices. There's a few differences between this and the Xolo X900 by Lava - so we've given it a judicious investigation at Intel's big launch party. We'll be adding our hands-on video very soon, but our hands-on thoughts are after the break.
