Evernote Teams up with Moleskine to Offer Smart Notebooks
If you are an Evernote user, you probably already know that you can backup your paper notebooks and journals by snapping pictures of the pages and uploading them into your account. Evernote and Moleskine are coming together to offer smart notebooks that offer features that make this task even better. When you take a snapshot of a page in these notebooks with the iOS mobile Evernote app, the special dotted paper pattern on the pages color corrected, skewed correctly and digitized for searching. Also included are stickers that allow the page to be tagged and saved into a specific notebook automatically based on your settings.

Handle on Demand (HoD) Review
I am extremely skeptical of the “as seen on TV” items you find in the stores these days. But I was in need of something to help me carry and install many very heavy and awkward sheets of glass. The professionals use specially designed, relatively expensive suction cups to lift glass panels and stone slabs. As I was searching the internet for a couple of those, I came across the Handle on Demand from FastCap, designed to do the exact same thing but for a fraction of the cost.

Meet the OwnFone: a customizable mobile phone that epitomizes simplicity
The OwnFone is neither smart nor world-friendly, and yet it's managed to grab our attention just the same. Designed for use only in the United Kingdom, it represents a rather novel take on the mobile phone with its customizable nature and simplistic design. Before ordering, owners must select among two, four, eight or a dozen contacts, and it's highly recommended to include emergency services among that bunch - there's no option to dial actual numbers, as every contact is programmed and stored in the cloud.

ITC rules that Apple did not violate Motorola's patent, remands case back to judge
About a week ago we reported that some of Apple's products, namely the iPhone, iPad and Macs could be banned on the 24th of August as part of an ongoing legal dispute between Apple and Motorola. As it turns out, luck really seems to be on Apple's side as not only did the jury rule in Apple's favor in the Apple vs Samsung lawsuit, but it seems that a Commission review of the ITC case between Apple and Motorola has determined that the Cupertino company did not violate the patent in question and basically exonerated Apple.

Mitsubishi Australia CEO: 'I don't know why people buy a Mitsubishi'
While we appreciate candor among executives, it is generally unwise for the CEO of any company to slight their own brand – even if they really dislike their product. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri may not have gotten the memo. According to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald, the new CEO of Mitsubishi Australia isn't mincing words, saying "the product is too old...the prices are too high." Oshikiri took over the Australian branch of the Japanese automaker just ten weeks ago, and says the brand needs to be updating its product portfolio more quickly.

Ailing Peugeot may get boot from French stock exchange's benchmark CAC 40 index
The clouds that have been darkening the forecast for Peugeot just keep getting darker. The latest storm front involves the risk of being delisted from the CAC 40, the benchmark index composed of the 40 companies with the "most significant values" among the the companies with the top 100 market capitalizations listed on Euronext Paris (the French stock market). The blow wouldn't just hit Peugeot's prestige, but it's stock price, too – and that has already sunk so low in the five months since General Motors bought into Peugeot that GM is looking at taking a €174 million ($215M U.S.) charge.

I guess the word “portable” is used extremely liberally here – especially since portable does not mean you are able to just pick it off the ground and pop it into your pocket. I am referring to the Portable Encapsulator, where it does what it promised – to be able to trap bullets. Initial observations have proved to be nothing short but positive, where it has been said that a few hundred rounds have been shot into this bullet trap without a single bullet going through the test unit. If you go to Gymkhana.com, you'll find all sorts of photos, videos, and links related to the sport. What you'll find very little mention of, is Ken Block, himself. Why? Because Block does not own the website's URL, even though he officially owns the trademark.
