Google lets you opt out of Wi-Fi tracking

Google lets you opt out of Wi-Fi tracking

Google intends to live up to their motto of not doing any evil by announcing that they will do their bit to prevent residential wireless systems from being listed in a database which assists the Internet search giant in tracking down folks on their smartphones and regular feature phones. This announcement came about after concerns were raised in Europe, where regulators in that part of the world do from time to time check out whether Google's mapping services come into conflict with Europe's privacy laws.

Ubergizmo, Google lets you opt out of Wi-Fi tracking
