Shelby is a name as synonymous with the Ford Mustang as marshmallows are with campfires. But unlike the short-lived sugary confection that is prepared on a stick, the late Carroll Shelby's name on the placard means added performance and exclusivity. Launched in 1965, the automaker's celebrated early cars were in production for a limited run - today, a mint concours-quality 1965 Shelby GT350 can sell for upwards of $350,000. To coincide with the 45th anniversary of the original Shelby GT350, Shelby American reintroduced the GT350 in 2011. Like the original, it was only offered in white with blue stripes.

How can you make the HTC One better than it already is. Give it stock Android. Google just announced that they will be selling the HTC One starting in late June for those who want the true Android experience, without the bloat that can come with one from the manufacturer. It will be available from the Google Play store for $599, come with 32 GB of built-in storage, and will be useable on the AT&T and T-Mobile networks with LTE support. You will also get the benefit of software updates directly from Google, without having to wait for HTC to roll it out.

Whoa, if this isn't a bombshell of an announcement I don't know what is. Speaking to Walt Mossberg at D: All Things Digital, Android chief Sundar Pichai gingerly pulled out an HTC. It looked quite ordinary at first… until the boss revealed that it was running a completely stock version of Android. Pichar mentioned that the phone would launch June 26th for $599 on the Google Play Store.

R/C car-quadcopter seeks Kickstarter funding (video)

Go ahead and clear off your holiday wish list. You're going to need some space. Behold the B: the remote controlled offspring of a toy car and a quadcopter. The machine is capable of vertical take off and landing thanks to four seven-inch propeller blades mounted at each wheel hub. Each rotor makes use of a brushless motor and the body and components are made to withstand multiple hard impacts from crash landing. It even features an HD camera in the nose capable of recording up to 32 gigs of 720x1280 video. What's the catch, you ask?

The B isn't yet funded. It's the brain child of Witold Mielniczek, a product designer from the UK.

Here's the order of events, as laid out by the utterly bizarre report: Briones, who was later confirmed (in many ways) to be "clearly" intoxicated, ran a red light and struck an oncoming car.

Former Saab chairman Muller faces summons in tax inquiry

Former Saab Chairman Victor Muller may be called in for questioning as part of an official inquiry into suspected tax evasion by three of the automaker's former executives. A prosecutor has officially named former CEO Jan-Ake Jonsson and two other executives in the investigation, and official court documents say that Muller will be called in by the Financial Crimes Unit. According to Reuters, prosecutors are currently looking into allegations that the executives worked to dodge taxes between 2010 and 2011, when the automaker finally went into bankruptcy.

GText from MightyText - SMS from Gmail

I wrote an article on MightyText back in November; it's a plugin that allows you to send and receive SMS texts from your Android phone via your browser.  I can honestly say that I use MightyText almost everyday.  Well it just got better.  While previously I had to have a separate MightyText tab open, GText is a plug-in that allows me to send and receive texts directly in Gmail, a tab that's already always open in my browser. You get a “Compose SMS” button just under your standard email compose button and text exchanges appear like a Gmail chat.  Got Gmail? Got MightyText? Integrate the two.
