We all know just how 3D movies made quite a buzz a few years ago when Avatar hit the silver screen. The thing is, there were not too many 3D movies after that which really managed to capture the rapt attention of the audience, and it has become a gimmick rather than a necessity. The Nintendo 3DS too, tried to ride on the 3D bandwagon where portable gaming is concerned, but it has not really taken off in a big way to make it a “must have” item despite the fact that you do not need to wear a pair of 3D glasses when playing.
