LG launches LG Cloud, blows raspberries at S-Cloud

LG launches LG Cloud, blows raspberries at S-Cloud

One day before the purported launch of Samsung's cloud service, Korea's other technology giant has unveiled LG Cloud. The eponymous service offers 5GB free space as standard, while owners of LG's Smart TVs or smartphones will get 50GB free for six months. It'll push content between your devices, appropriately compressed for the medium, so high definition images on your TV will be slimmed down to save your phone's data cap.

Usually a complicated process, an XDA user by the name of Manbearpig69 (best user name ever) has thrown together a really nice rooting guide that, not only showcases the insanely easy 1-click root method for the phone, but provides for a plethora of custom ROMs, kernels, root-apps and the like for all those willing.

User Agent Profile Shows Possible Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III With Qualcomm S4 Processor

User Agent Profile Shows Possible Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III With Qualcomm S4 Processor

Probably not the kind of news you were wanting to hear today, but interesting none the least. A user agent string popped up online today which could confirm suspicions that the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy S III (unconfirmed) may not come with Sammy’s quad-core Exynos, instead, opting for Qualcomm’s dual-core S4 processor. A handset with the model number SCH-I535 showed up in a UA string boasting specs worthy of Samsung’s next flagship, namely a 720p HD display and running on Android 4.0 and a Qualcomm MSM8960 processor.

Quick Look at the Sprint Galaxy Nexus

Quick Look at the Sprint Galaxy Nexus

Our friends at Sprint sent us their recently released Samsung Galaxy Nexus, now available for $199 on a 2-year contract. It’s nearly identical to the existing Galaxy Nexus devices on the market, but has a couple neat advantages such as Google Wallet. For current Sprint customers and those eager to switch to Sprint, the Galaxy Nexus offers a great opportunity to get a future proof Google Experience device at the top of its class. This post is sponsored by Sprint.
I’ve personally got the Galaxy Nexus and love the device.

RIM: another limited-edition developer device coming later this year

Before wrapping things up at the BlackBerry 10 Jam keynote, Alex Saunders lobbed out a whale of a tidbit: the Dev Alpha may be joined by another, "very limited-edition" version of a BlackBerry 10 device much closer to the platform's official launch. According to the VP, developers who have received the Dev Alpha will be able to trade up to the new version at an unspecified time.

Attop YD-711 Avatar Licensed RC Helicopter Review

Attop YD-711 Avatar Licensed RC Helicopter Review

Sigh. I love remote control stuff, especially helicopters, but I may well be the worst RC ‘copter pilot ever. I got the cool looking YD-711 2.4GHz 4-channel Avatar licensed RC helicopter from Attop, and broke one of the blades within about 10 minutes of actual flight time. More on that later.
The ‘copter is packed in a rather flimsy display box, but it's well-secured in it. Because of the lightweight nature of the toy, you have to be a little careful detaching it from all the wire ties used.
