Toyota's Tacoma may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but it's received a mild refresh for 2012, and a new "limited edition" package courtesy of in-house tuning arm, Toyota Racing Development. Toyota showed a preproduction TRD T/X Baja at last fall's Texas State Fair and then again at SEMA, with the real deal now poised to go on sale in May. The Baja Series will start at $32,990, plus a delivery fee of $810. That's for a Tacoma Access Cab model with a manual transmission – the price scales up for automatic-equipped trucks and Double Cab models.

Audi unveils A6 L e-tron hybrid luxury vehicle concept in Beijing

During the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, Audi took the wraps off its concept hybrid vehicle dubbed the Audi A6 L e-tron. If the name sounds familiar, it's because this particular concept will be based off the original Audi A6 L with the difference being that the A6 L e-tron will feature a 2.0 TFSI and an electric motor capable of producing 70kW (or 95hp). The car can be powered purely by its electric motor alone up to a range of 80km, assuming the driver can maintain a speed of 60kmph. Under normal circumstances, the hybrid system will decide when is the best time to use either engine.

What's scarier: 1 out of 5 Mac computers in a group of 100,000 found to be infected with malware, or that Sophos can take a snapshot of all 100,000 without each user's knowledge. Even if the security firm is trying to access the overall health of Apple's platform, installed software secretly taking snapshots of the computer's current condition sounds a little creepy nonetheless. According to the latest report from Sophos, 100,000 Mac computers using the company's free anti-virus software were analyzed over a span of seven days.
