Xbox One Wired Headset Unveiled

Xbox One Wired Headset Unveiled

So, the dust has settled after the recently conclude E3 2013 earlier this month, and boy were we treated to a no-holds barred contest between Microsoft and Sony as they attempted to win the affections (and eventually, money) of consumers with their Xbox One and PS4, respectively. Early buzz on the Internet seem to point towards the PS4 picking up an early lead, not to mention Microsoft having to perform a U-turn on their games policy. Regardless, both upcoming consoles have had their fair share of pre-order buzz, and they look to explode from the starting blocks, too.

St. Louis Police Department Asks For Robot Drones In Fight Against Crime

St. Louis Police Department Asks For Robot Drones In Fight Against Crime

Back in the 1980s, there was this rather corny movie known as Robocop, with the timeline then being set in the year 2029. All right, the idea of it all did tickle my imagination and fancy back when I was a wee lad, but still, when you watch it today, you might wonder how did they come up with such stuff in the past. Having said that, the St. Louis Police Department is looking to robots to help them in the fight against crime, by placing a request for robot drones in order to perform patrols over the skies.
The city police Chief Sam Dotson has hopes that such robot surveillance drones will eventually take to the skies of St.

Report: Age of Empires and other Microsoft games to arrive on Android before end of the year

We've heard the murmurings since back in January about Microsoft's plans to bring Xbox Live games to mobile devices and we're not just talking about Windows Phone. These plans — “leaked” by a Microsoft job listing — also included both Android and iOS. Other than that, we had little else to go on. Details are still a bit murky, but a report from Nikkei today is providing some additional details. Apparently Microsoft will be contracting Japanese game maker KLab Inc. to bring these games to major mobile platforms (not just Microsoft's).

AOL Reader Worth Trying As Google Reader Fades Out

AOL Reader Worth Trying As Google Reader Fades Out

After a few leaks, the AOL reader is now official. I've played with it over the week-end, and I find it to be quite interesting. First of all, Google Reader (which is closing on July 1) users will like the fact that the List and Panel “views” looks very much like Google Reader, except for the typography is arguably much better with AOL (not super-hard since Google Reader had “no” typography). If you prefer to see more images, there is a Cards view that would look like a Pinterest or Google+ interface, which is great to scan articles if you are a visual person.

It seems the AIO / big tablet market is one of great interest for many PC and device manufacturers. Samsung showed its desires to fill the market last week with the announcement of the Samsung ATIV Q tablet, a 13-inch convertible slate running Windows 8 and Android 4.2 Now, it looks like HP is looking to continue its own line of devices with another desktop-bound AIO. What you see above is called the HP Slate 21 AIO, a 21.5-inch desktop AIO that's sleek enough to fold down into a slate if needed.
