Apple allegedly acquired audio software company Redmatica [Rumor]

Rumor has it that Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has acquired a startup company in Italy that specializes in developing digital music-editing apps. Redmatica is a company focused on developing software products that enhances the capabilities of audio samplers similar to the EXS24 used in the Logic Pro digital audio workstation and MIDI sequencer software application for the Mac OS X platform. As it turns out, Logic Pro, developed by a German music software and hardware company, was previously acquired by Apple in 2002.
