Drayson Racing Technologies Breaks World Land Speed Record For Electric Cars

Drayson Racing Technologies Breaks World Land Speed Record For Electric Cars

Records are meant to be broken, or at least this is what many of us aspire to do. After all, it does give out a sense of purpose to begin with – and a goal is a powerful catalyst to spur one to move forward in full confidence. Having said that, it seems that there is a new world land speed record for a lightweight electric car, thanks to Drayson Racing's Lola B12 69/EV vehicle that managed to achieve a top speed of 204.2mph (328.6km/h) over at a racetrack at RAF Elvington in Yorkshire.

LG G2 leaked video stills show rear volume controls and led notification ring

LG G2 leaked video stills show rear volume controls and led notification ring

@evleaks has come through again, spoiling Android manufacturer's best kept secrets. This time he's providing us with some images of what appears to be an LG promo vid showing off the upcoming LG G2. This device will be the follow up to last year's stellar LG Optimus G and while we can't tell much from the blurry video shots, it appears as if LG has repositioned the volume controls to the back of the device, making for a very interesting (and different) design. You'll also notice a rear facing LED notification ring, which would only come in handy if one were to lay the phone face down.

Computers Could "Optimize People" One Day

Earlier today, Intel was presenting many of its R&D projects in San Francisco, and a few of them caught my attention. For example, this demo by Paul Crawford, a senior research scientist at Intel Labs, was particularly interesting. One of the research topic that his team is working on is that, if measured, human productivity/attention would look like a curve and that a person is most productive when he/she is focusing on the task at hand, but shows that either a lack of interest or too may distractions would negatively affect productivity or efficiency.

Gran Turismo 6 Demo Out This July 2

Gran Turismo 6 Demo Out This July 2

I do admit, when I first started to give Gran Turismo a spin on the PSX when that Sony console was the hottest thing on the market, it proved to be an extremely frustrating experience from two aspects. One, the load times were virtually killers for me, while the other is, it drove with the physics of an actual car, or at least that was what it felt like back then, instead of the usual driving sim physics that followed a more direct arcade style which I was used to.

Thanko - USB Shoes Cooler "Mure Mure Non Non" - Send cool air in your shoes and clear the stuffy sweaty air out!

Most Japanese salarymen (meaning corporate employees in Japanese) have to wear leather dress shoes even in the summer time. Can you imagine how terrible it feels to wear the leather shoes all day. Inside of the shoes will become very humid, sweaty and hot…. Previously we wrote about Thanko's “USB Necktie Cooler 3″ as a savior of Japanese salarymen in the summer time.
