Revisit the old school with snake on your smartphone

With all the crazy games that are available now on the smartphone, flinging birds at pigs, slashing opponents in vast castles and even racing against the clock to beat your opponents on the street, you can almost forget that we came from the days of the humble game of Snake on your old Nokia 3310. Back in the day, you were the (wo)man if you could max out the screen on speed 7, let alone the max speed 9, and the repetitive pressing of 1 and 9 would be key to mastering snake. Let's not forget when Snake 2 came out.
Those of you who are getting retro flashbacks can now download a snake emulator on Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

According to a new leak it will be marketed as the Sony Xperia P. That's totally believable considering Sony's 2012 naming scheme introduced following their proposed deal to take over the mobile division of the Sony-Ericsson partnership. The device is supposed to be similar to the Xperia S, except it would have a different processor and a weaker screen.

One component of that plan is building another plant in North America, and a report by the TheDetroitBureau.com indicates that the plant will be built in Aguascalientes, Mexico – right next to a Nissan assembly plant that's already there. Honda Crosstour four-cylinder to start at $27,655*

Back when Honda launched the Crosstour in 2010, it fielded questions from the media asking why it chose to forego a four-cylinder model. At the time, officials indicated that a four-cylinder engine would result in minimal fuel economy improvements, noting that the company's aim was to target premium-minded customers for whom the 3.5-liter V6 seemed more appropriate. But with the fog of slow sales often comes a need to rethink strategies, and Honda has responded to sluggish demand for the Crosstour with a new four-cylinder model for 2012 with a just-announced base price of $27,655 (*plus $810 in destination charges).

Touchscreens are becoming common and touch pads – like those in the Audi A7, A8 and next A3 – are gaining traction, but the next input revolution might not be gesture controls, it's likely to be "smart fabrics" and BMW is already toying with the technology. Researchers at the Polytechnic School of Montreal, Canada have developed a new flexible, polymer-based fiber that can be woven into existing fabrics. Essentially, it's a capacitive pad that can register touches and swipes when alternating current is plumbed through the fibers.

But we don't have to, because the car known as Godzilla is as devastating on the race track as it is on the street. Very different racing versions have been made to challenge the FIA GT1 World Championship and for Japan's own Super GT series, the latter powered by a naturally aspirated V8 to satisfy regulations instead of the twin-turbo V6 in the production model. Getting your hands on either of these, however, could prove a bigger challenge than passing one in a race.

A Dutch appeals court isn’t budging on the decision handed down by a lower court to not grant a preliminary injunction to Apple banning sale’s of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1. The judge presiding over the case felt that Samsung’s design was different enough that the “informed user” would not mistake it for Apple’s iPad, pointing to the dimensions of the device, the size of its bezel, and the visually unique rear of the Galaxy Tab. The court, however, was clear to point out that the ruling was based on the design rights held by Apple and not necessarily the overall appearance of the device.
