NEC to make bendy screens possible with super-thin batteries

NEC to make bendy screens possible with super-thin batteries

It looks like we're one step closer to being able to own devices with flexible screens. The folks over at NEC announced that they are developing a super-thin battery that could be incorporated into credit cards or bendable screens. These batteries are called organic radical batteries (ORB) and can be printed into circuit boards that are only 0.33mm thick. They are also flexible enough to be used in bendy screens that we've seen from manufacturers like Samsung in the past.
